Research Director, The Sax Institute: Professor Louisa Jorm
Professor Jorm is Research Director at the Sax Institute and provides overall direction for the 45 and Up Study as well as other research programs within the Sax Institute. She is an epidemiologist who has held senior positions in public health services and administration. Her areas of expertise include epidemiologic methods, analysis of routinely collected health data, data linkage, evaluation of health services and programs, health surveillance, public health information systems, health survey methods, cross-cultural adaptation of survey instruments, and promoting the use of research to support health policy and practice.

Scientific Director, The 45 and Up Study: Associate Professor Emily Banks
Associate Professor Banks' major responsibilities relate to the scientific aspects of the 45 and Up Study. In consultation with the Study's collaborators, she designed the Study methods and is responsible for its development over the coming years, ensuring that it will address the key health concerns facing an ageing Australia. Associate Professor Banks is a medically qualified epidemiologist with expertise in large-scale follow-up studies, having been a leading scientist for both the UK Million Women Study (one of the largest research projects in the world) and the UK Biobank.

Research Assets Director, The Sax Institute: Dr Sonia Wutzke
Dr Wutzke manages the overall policy and operations of the Study, including liaison with health professionals, researchers and the public. She facilitates access to secure, accurate, complete and timely data. She develops study protocols and procedures that ensure appropriate conduct of the Study to create a sustainable public health research asset that is accessible by researchers and policy makers. Dr Wutzke has a background in psychology, public health, research and program evaluation.

Project Officer, The 45 and Up Study: Angela Robl
Ms Robl is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the 45 and Up Study proceed smoothly. She plays a key role in coordinating relationships with the Study participants, including managing the participant contact database and ensuring that all interactions with study participants, their families, and other members of the public, are handled in an effective and sensitive manner. Ms Robl has a background in psychology, business analysis, corporate services and administration.

Project Officer, The 45 and Up Study: Nicol Herbert
Ms Herbert is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the 45 and Up Study proceed smoothly. She plays a key role in coordinating relationships with the Study participants, including coordinating communications and mail-outs, and ensuring that data is provided to the Study in an efficient and timely manner and that the integrity of Study data is maintained at the highest of levels. Ms Herbert has a background in social sciences, public-health and policy.

Project Officer, The 45 and Up Study: Alison Cowle
Ms Cowle is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the 45 and Up Study proceed smoothly. She plays a key role in coordinating relationships with the Study participants, including answering calls to the helpline and ensuring that callers are assisted courteously and effectively, as well as developing database applications to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of researcher applications. Ms Cowle has a background in administration, customer service and computing.
Data Manager / Analyst, The 45 and Up Study: Fiona Horn
Ms Horn is responsible for developing, maintaining and managing database(s) for the 45 and Up Study data, including linkage of 45 and Up Study questionnaire data with external datasets. Ms Horn also provides administration, analysis, and technical support for researchers wanting to use data from the Study. Ms Horn has a background in public-health, general practice research and pharmacoepidemiology.
