Understanding the factors relating to health insurance status

Project aim(s):
This project will use data from the 45 and Up Study baseline questionnaire to examine the relationship between health insurance status and a wide range of demographic, lifestyle, health, social and other factors. The project will use logistic modelling techniques, modelling the probability of health insurance whilst utilising a range of demographic, lifestyle, health and social variables as predictors. All people in the study cohort will be grouped into 2 binary groups – having any kind of health insurance/no health insurance. Factors associated with having extras cover will also be explored.
