Investigators:
Professor Julie Byles, Dr Elizabeth Comino (PI), Associate Professor Jeff Flack, Professor Mark F Harris, Associate Professor Bin Jalaludin, Professor Louisa Jorm, Mr Gawaine Powell Davies and Dr Anne Young
Project aim(s):
The aim of this project is to evaluate the relationships among quality of primary care, hospital admission, socioeconomic status and remoteness for older Australians with diabetes. Specifically, the project will test the hypothesis that there is an inverse association between receipt of quality primary care for Australians aged 45 years and over with diabetes and hospitalisation, and that socioeconomic status and remoteness modify this association.
