Project aim(s):

- Do social connections/ social participation vary across age groups and gender?

- Is social connections/ social participation independently associated with health status (or coping behaviour)?

- Are different types of social connections/ social participation independently associated with health status (or coping behaviour or mental health)?

- Does the effect of social connections/ social participation on health mediate by health-related behaviour?

- Are there differential associations of social connections and social support with mental health status of adults?
