Risk factors of cardiovascular disease: gender, age, pregnancy, breastfeeding and exogneous hormone use

Project aim(s):

  1. Determine the types of CVD medications taken by Australian males and females, stratified by age.
  2. Determine if exogenous hormone use alters a women’s risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
  3. To examine the effect of high blood pressure during pregnancy, and subsequent risk of developing CVD.
  4. To examine the effect of childbearing and maternal breastfeeding on a woman’s subsequent risk of developing CVD.
