Population based risk factors and use of health services for fracture

Project aim(s):
- To investigate potentially modifiable factors influencing fracture risk in the 45 and Up Study. This includes investigating:
- The relationship between fracture risk and lifestyle, demographic and baseline health factors.
- Patterns of fracture occurrence and use of health services following fracture including procedures performed and length of stay.
- Sun exposure and possible confounding factors with fracture including physical activity, frailty, cormorbidities and diet.
- Pharmaceutical agents and fracture, including bisphosphonates and hormonal contraceptives
