Project aim(s):
This project aims to:
- Precisely quantify the contributions of amount and pattern of sun exposure, both over a lifetime and in specific periods of life, and sun sensitivity phenotype to risk of keratinocyte cancers in a representative Australian population
- Seek epidemiological evidence for and measure the possible contributions of major lifestyle factors other than sun exposure to risk of keratinocyte cancers, particularly of tobacco and alcohol consumption after adjustment for the effect of sun exposure
- Measure the association between keratinocyte cancers of the skin and candidate HPV genotypes and serotypes
